ElevenLabs Releases Forced Alignment Model Cue, Supporting Character-Level Audio Timestamps

ElevenLabs has released the forced alignment model Cue, which can pinpoint the exact time point for each character in audio and has already been used in the Scribe speech-to-text model family. Cue covers more than 90 benchmark languages, processes recordings of any length in a single pass, and takes about half a second to align 1 hour of audio on production GPUs; on benchmarks across 29 languages, its accuracy is higher than all alignment tools tested by ElevenLabs. The model is also available separately through the Forced Alignment API.

Kazike: AI Took Away My Catchphrase "Frankly Speaking"

Content creator Kazike has found that his catchphrase of four years, "frankly speaking," now gets underlined and questioned by readers the moment he writes it—"too much AI flavor," "obviously AI at a glance." Over the past two months he has used these four characters less and less, and when he sees them during voice input he subconsciously deletes them. He believes that AI learned language from humans, and now it is humans' turn to modify their own expressions to prove they are human, and he mentions that sentence patterns such as "not... but rather" are also being abandoned.

Tesla confirms it is developing its own AI maps, to be rolled out gradually with FSD v15

Tesla Vice President Ashok Elluswamy confirmed on the earnings call that Tesla is developing its own AI-based map navigation system, which will launch with FSD v15, integrating data collected by the fleet, personalized route planning, and support for FSD voice control. He called it an entirely new architecture rather than another version of maps; the fleet will automatically collect street information and annotate data such as travel speeds, stop signs, traffic lights, and parking lots, to solve issues with speed limit recognition, parking, and route planning. The new maps are expected to be used first during the trip departure and arrival stages of FSD v15, and then gradually cover the remaining navigation capabilities such as parking and voice control over the following months.

Office workers begin to "perform" AI efficiency gains: workplace oddities under Skill, weekly reports, and usage-rate assessments

Several Big Tech employees told Dingjiao One that after their companies included AI usage rate in performance assessments, they began to "perform" AI efficiency gains: some turned a half-hour meeting recording into text and wrote it up as "building a structured voice information workflow," which was rated an excellent case; others padded their weekly reports with AI content, stretching ten minutes of work into half an hour. A company in Shenzhen stipulates that an AI usage rate below 70% incurs a 20% performance deduction, and employees churned out a pile of Skills that nobody uses; a Visier survey shows that among 1,000 full-time U.S. employees, 48% admitted to exaggerating their AI usage frequency or expertise to colleagues or superiors.

AI changes the daily work of customer service: some have their burden eased, others are crushed by complex tickets

CNBC interviews show that Kaylee Harris, a customer service representative at a credit card company, can focus more on customers because AI takes over record-keeping and disclosure work, but Shannon, a customer service representative at a Welsh telecom company, says AI-generated ticket records are frequently wrong and can only be rewritten by herself. PolyAI CEO Nikola Mrkšić believes AI voice agents can share the pressure of customer service; Virgin Media O2 launched AI voice agents in September to handle routine issues, while ArvatoConnect aims to have 70% of interactions completed by technology and 30% handled by humans. Amanda Jones of King's College London warns that after routine tasks are automated, humans are left with only the hardest cases, and work intensity may rise rather than fall.

How OpenAI defines FDE: consolidating customer-customized Harness into a unified Codex

OpenAI's FDE team was established in early 2025, with the goal of filling the deployment gap between model capabilities and customers' real-world constraints; the approach is to first get results into production, then consolidate customized solutions into reusable products. In the early days, every use case required extensive customized integration; after Codex became stronger, the team rebuilt the application on Codex, turning customized applications into plugins and skills based on Codex primitives, and self-reports that about 90% of the customized code for each project was removed. In a semiconductor customer case, about 15 FDEs covered 10+ use cases, self-reporting about 48% time savings in targeted test generation and about 22% median performance improvement in kernel optimization; in a telecom customer service voice case, the key evaluation rose from about 60% to 90%+ in about six months.
