IT Home, November 4 news: Apple officially released the latest iOS 27.3 developer preview for iPhone today.
IT Home's hands-on testing found that on the latest iOS 27.3 developer preview, the mainland China version of "Apple Intelligence & Siri" has arrived as promised. After updating to the latest iOS system, users can find the feature's settings page in Settings.
As IT Home previously reported, the mainland China version of Apple Intelligence has partnered with Alibaba, integrating Qwen into some experiences. Domestic users can directly invoke Qwen in Siri, Writing Tools, and Visual Intelligence, covering text and image understanding-related capabilities.
Apple users can log in to a Qwen account, or use "Sign in with Apple," to access Qwen within the system without jumping to a standalone app. Alibaba previously confirmed that Qwen's integration will extend to iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS.
The first batch of features opened to Chinese users focuses mainly on basic, high-frequency scenarios. Live Translation is integrated into Messages, FaceTime calls, and the Phone app, and supports face-to-face conversation translation on AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro 2 and later models. Writing Tools provides rewriting, proofreading, and summaries; Visual Intelligence identifies surrounding objects and places through the camera; and the Clean Up tool in the Photos app can remove distracting objects from images.
In addition, Apple's China website also lists Apple Intelligence-compatible devices, with iPhone 15 Pro and newer models all supporting Apple Intelligence.
