Drizz's AI app testing ambitions and the reality
Indian Bengaluru-based startup Drizz has launched an AI agent called Fathom, which uses vision models to understand app interfaces and execute tests according to natural language instructions, claiming that on internal benchmarks the test flakiness rate dropped from 15%–50% to about 3%. Its benchmark tests show that under a standard Android image, six frontier model configurations achieved a 72.3% pass rate, while under a rooted image only 28.7%, with GPT 5.6 Luna falling from 64% to 4%. Drizz says screenshots never leave the device, and customer deployments can run its proprietary models locally.
