Baidu Apollo has disclosed for the first time Apollo World, an omni-modal world model for physical AI, and proposed a "2+3" evaluation criteria for world models. The model's core capabilities are agent-driven operation, omni-modal perception, and trip closed-loop, and it can generate camera images and LiDAR point clouds in real time for the driving system to perceive and make decisions and to update the traffic environment. Currently, Apollo World can complete about 100,000 kilometers of virtual road testing per day and has been used in the global testing and validation of Apollo Go.

据悉，Apollo World的核心能力包括智能体驱动、全模态感知及行程闭环。在其构建的虚拟城市中，车辆、行人等交通参与者被建模为具备决策与交互能力的AI智能体，可根据周围交通变化及无人车的减速、超车等动作调整行为。模型能够实时生成相机画面、激光雷达点云等多模态观测数据，供驾驶系统进行感知和决策，再根据车辆动作更新交通环境，形成持续运行的闭环。
在测试范围上，Apollo World支持无人车在虚拟城市任意起终点间通行，连续经过不同道路和交通场景，完成从接单、载客到送达的完整出行任务。同时，模型可从真实运营数据中提取高价值场景，将复杂路况和风险转化为可重复的虚拟测试，用于驾驶策略验证和系统迭代，更新后的系统再回到真实道路接受检验。
百度此次提出的“2+3”判断标准，将因果性、交互性列为基础门槛，将物理准确性、持久性和实时性列为进阶指标，强调模型应遵循现实物理规律、响应外部动作，并保持长时间稳定运行和低时延。
据百度披露，Apollo World每天可完成约10万公里虚拟路测，相当于一辆配备安全员的实车连续测试约三年。萝卜快跑已进入全球28座城市，累计完成超2300万次出行服务，自动驾驶总里程超3.5亿公里，其中全无人驾驶里程超2.4亿公里。
