The Information, citing people familiar with the matter, reported that Meta has collaborated with the Shanghai robotics company Fourier to develop, in just three months, a humanoid robot prototype internally codenamed Max, approximately 1.5 meters tall and about 48 kilograms in weight, with a computing platform equipped with NVIDIA Jetson Thor. The two parties, building on Fourier's hardware accumulated over its first three generations, adjusted the body proportions, head structure, and cameras, and added a robotic hand and shoe structures; in September they also launched the Max 2 project, planning to redesign the torso, strengthen the robotic hand's manipulation, and add sensors to support going up and down stairs. Meta stated that the collaboration mainly focuses on internal research and experimentation, and that there are currently no plans to sell these prototypes.

根据曝光的消息，Max身高约1.5米，体重约48公斤，算力平台搭载英伟达Jetson Thor，胸部配备两个扬声器，面部能够模拟人类表情，五指机械手可以抓取小瓶子、玩具等物品。
硬件设计上，双方以傅利叶前三代人形机器人的硬件和技术积累为基础，调整了机身比例、头部结构、显示屏和摄像头，并增加机械手和鞋部结构。
项目推进期间，Meta机器人业务产品副总裁Li-Chen Miller进驻傅利叶上海工厂近两个月，直接参与原型机开发。今年8月底，Max已在Meta内部机器人峰会上，面向部分员工展示。
9月，双方又启动Max 2项目，第二代原型计划重新设计躯干结构，强化机械手操作性能，额外新增投影仪，同时加装传感器，支撑机器人上下楼梯。
与此同时，Meta正在国内扩招机器人研发、制造相关岗位：上海招聘供应商开发工程师，重点推动机器人从原型阶段走向规模化量产；深圳开放产品设计工程师、技术项目经理岗位，覆盖原型开发、项目规划与落地量产等环节。
针对本次合作，Meta发言人在回复The Information 时表示，在采购美国本土不易获取的零部件这件事上，Meta和行业其他公司面临同样的现实情况。
同时Meta强调，此次与傅利叶的合作主要聚焦内部研究和实验，目前没有出售这些原型机的计划。
而傅利叶创始人、CEO顾捷11月2日则回应国内媒体称，暂不方便回复。
公开资料显示，傅利叶成立于2015年，早期主要从事康复机器人和医疗辅助设备研发，随后切入通用人形机器人领域。2023年，傅利叶推出首款通用人形机器人GR-1，此后迭代发布GR-2和GR-3。
官网页面显示，截至目前，傅利叶的产品与服务已覆盖全球40多个国家和地区，服务2000余家机构与医院。
